As obras para a construção de uma nova praça de lazer e uma academia ao ar livre na Avenida Fraga Maia, em Feira de Santana, estão em andamento.
O projeto, liderado pela empresa Metro Engenharia em parceria com a Prefeitura, inclui a conclusão da ciclovia que havia sido interrompida por instalação irregular de barracas.
Os trabalhos atuais incluem a instalação de bancos com revestimento cerâmico, a criação de um novo parque infantil, e a montagem de uma academia com diversos aparelhos.
Além disso, o projeto contempla melhorias na iluminação, plantio de novas árvores e preservação de vegetação nativa, com o objetivo de tornar o ambiente mais agradável e sustentável.
A ciclovia terá 2,2 quilômetros de extensão e deverá estar concluída na primeira semana de outubro.
Segundo Ianco Pinho, da SOMA, a iniciativa busca promover a prática de esportes e o lazer na comunidade.
